There was a lovely warmth to the space, and it gave Shanel’s getting-ready photos a calm and elegant feel. The setting worked beautifully with the mood of the day — relaxed, stylish and personal. The make-up and hair team, Peach Cronje, helped create a polished but natural bridal look, and Shanel looked absolutely stunning. She was also so easy to photograph. They were easy with each other, they listened well, they trusted the process, and they allowed the moments to happen naturally. That is exactly what we want from a couple session. We can guide the light, the setting and the movement, but the connection has to come from the couple — and with Shanel and Alex, that part was effortless.
