Destination Wedding in South Africa at La Paris

Tala & Saad

A destination wedding at La Paris Estate brought family and friends from Abu Dhabi to the Cape Winelands for an Arabic celebration filled with emotion, music and elegant South African scenery.

Tala and Saad travelled from Abu Dhabi to celebrate their destination wedding in South Africa with family and friends at La Paris Estate near Franschhoek. The day combined an Arabic wedding celebration with the gardens, historic buildings and mountain scenery of the Cape Winelands.

La Paris gave the wedding a complete destination feel. The couple could prepare, welcome guests, hold the ceremony, take photographs and celebrate the reception on one estate, while every part of the day still had its own atmosphere.

A Cape Winelands Destination Wedding

Choosing the Franschhoek and Paarl area allowed guests to experience one of South Africa’s best-known wedding regions. La Paris sits among old trees and open lawns, with elegant accommodation and several event spaces that work well for a multi-day wedding.

The celebration was planned remotely from Abu Dhabi with Leana and the team from Just Jack Events. Much of the coordination happened by email and video calls, making the wedding a strong example of how an international celebration can be organised successfully in the Cape Winelands.

Getting Ready at La Paris

Both sides of the wedding party prepared at La Paris. Saad and his family used the Manor House, while Tala got ready in the Bramal Lane Suite. Having everyone on the estate kept the morning relaxed and gave us time to photograph the details, family interactions and quiet moments before the ceremony.

The bridal reveal took place beneath the old oak trees. Family and friends gathered first, with Saad waiting until the final moment before turning to see Tala. The setting offered soft natural light and a sense of privacy while still allowing the guests to share the moment.

Wedding Photography at La Paris Estate

While guests enjoyed canapés and traditional xylophone music, we photographed the couple around the estate. La Paris offers a useful mix of formal architecture, tree-lined spaces, gardens and wide Winelands views, so a couple can create a varied wedding gallery without leaving the venue.

The relaxed movement between locations suited the day perfectly. We could make elegant portraits while still keeping the couple close to their guests and the flow of the celebration.

The reception entrances brought together the couple’s traditions and the energy of a South African destination wedding. Saad entered with his entourage accompanied by African drummers. Tala then arrived with her father, who handed her over to Saad on the dance floor.

Floral Affairs created the flowers, décor and fairy-light atmosphere for the evening. The warm lighting transformed the reception space and photographed beautifully once the celebrations moved indoors.

Destination Wedding Video at La Paris

Photography preserved the detail and individual moments of the wedding, while the video captured the sound, movement and emotion of the day—from the reveal beneath the oaks to the drumming, entrances and dancing at the reception.

For couples planning a destination wedding in South Africa, La Paris is a particularly practical venue because accommodation, ceremony settings, portrait locations and reception spaces can all form part of one connected wedding experience.

Wedding Photography and Videography in South Africa

ZaraZoo photographed and filmed this celebration as one complete story. Working with one team for both services helps the photography and video schedules support each other, especially during preparations, family photographs, couple portraits and the reception entrances.

If you are planning a destination wedding in Cape Town, Franschhoek or the wider Cape Winelands, this La Paris wedding shows how an international celebration can retain its own traditions while making full use of the landscape and hospitality of South Africa.
