Our approach is documentary-led: we look for real emotion, movement and connection as the wedding unfolds, stepping in with calm, simple direction only when it helps.
Since 2003, we have photographed more than 600 weddings in South Africa and internationally. That experience helps us respond confidently to changing light, weather, tight timelines and unexpected moments while remaining unobtrusive.
We photograph weddings throughout Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl and the Cape Winelands. Our knowledge of the region's wine estates, coastal settings and changing conditions helps us plan the best light, locations and timing without keeping you away from your guests for longer than necessary.

How We Choose Your Photographer and Videographer
ZaraZoo is a close family team. We have known one another and worked together for more than 15 years, which gives our photographers and videographers a shared way of working and a consistent standard across every wedding.
Every photographer and videographer trusted to lead a wedding has experience covering weddings independently. Our younger team members first spent at least three years assisting experienced photographers and filmmakers before we trusted them to cover a wedding on their own.
We consider your wedding's size, schedule, locations and complexity when allocating the team. If we expect the day to be more demanding, we make sure a senior team member is present for the most important parts of the wedding. You get a team chosen around the needs of your day, backed by years of shared experience.

A few helpful answers
How many hours of wedding photography do we need?
For most traditional weddings, eight hours is a good starting point. Six hours can suit a smaller, simpler wedding at one venue, while separate preparations, travel and later celebrations may need longer coverage. Take the package quiz to find the coverage that fits your plans.
Do we need two wedding photographers?
One experienced photographer can cover many weddings well. A second photographer is especially useful when preparations happen separately or important moments overlap, allowing one photographer to capture your couple portraits while the other photographs your guests and reception details.
When will we receive our wedding photographs?
We aim to deliver your finished wedding photography within six weeks of your wedding date, through a private online gallery you can share with family and friends. Albums follow a separate design and production process.
Can we book photography and film together?
Yes. Our photography and film team works together around one timeline and planning process. Our combined Photo + Film packages offer better value than booking equivalent photography and film separately. Compare the packages and prices.
