CORPORATE INCENTIVE TRAVEL BALI – PHOTOS AND VIDEO
For this Old Mutual Africa Regions Offshore incentive trip, the ZaraZoo team travelled with the group to document the complete experience through professional photography and video
Corporate Incentive Travel Bali – Culture, Adventure and Celebration
Bali offers the kind of variety that makes it an exceptional corporate incentive travel destination. Within a few days, a group can experience tropical beaches, dramatic temples, traditional performances, adventure activities, local culture and an elegant gala awards evening.
As incentive travel photographers, our role extends far beyond photographing the main attractions. We capture the excitement of the activities, the personalities within the group and the moments of recognition that give a corporate rewards trip its real meaning.

A relaxed start at Club Med Bali
The group was based at Club Med Bali, a beachfront resort offering a wide range of organised activities and leisure options.
After arriving at the resort, delegates were welcomed with drinks before settling into their rooms and enjoying an informal evening together. This relaxed beginning allowed everyone to recover from the journey and reconnect with colleagues before the main programme began.
Resort activities included snorkelling, windsurfing, padel, golf, archery, swimming, yoga, guided walks and even the flying trapeze.
These informal experiences are an important part of any corporate incentive trip. They give guests the freedom to participate at their own pace while creating plenty of opportunities for spontaneous photography.
Exploring Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park
One of the main group activities was a visit to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, commonly known as GWK.
The park is home to the enormous Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, which towers above the surrounding landscape. Its scale and design made it one of the most visually striking locations on the programme.
For group photography, GWK offered impressive backgrounds and open spaces where we could capture both the delegates and the scale of the destination.
It was also an opportunity for guests to learn more about Balinese mythology, art and cultural traditions.
Uluwatu Temple and the Kecak dance performance
The cultural experience continued with a visit to Uluwatu Temple.
Positioned high above the ocean, the temple is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and expansive coastal views. The setting changes constantly as the light moves across the landscape, making it an exceptional location for destination photography.
The day concluded with a traditional Kecak dance performance.
The circular arrangement of the performers, traditional costumes and rhythmic movement created an energetic and atmospheric experience. As photographers and videographers, we focused not only on the performance but also on the reactions of the delegates watching it unfold.
These reactions help tell the story of an incentive journey in a way that photographs of the attraction alone cannot.
Adventure activities for every type of traveller
Successful incentive programmes usually include a selection of activities rather than expecting every delegate to enjoy the same experience.
The available options included the Bali Swing, a quad-bike adventure and an excursion into Ubud.
The Bali Swing provided a scenic and playful experience, while quad biking brought a more adventurous element to the programme. Ubud offered guests an opportunity to experience another side of Bali through its landscapes, cultural attractions and local atmosphere.
When a group divides between activities, careful planning becomes particularly important for the photography and video team. We work closely with the tour leaders to identify the priority experiences and ensure that the final content still represents the complete programme.
Recognising achievement at the gala awards dinner
The gala awards dinner is often the emotional centre of a corporate incentive trip.
The excursions and activities may be the reward, but the awards evening reminds delegates why they are there. It celebrates the effort, performance and commitment that earned them a place on the journey.
For this trip, the formal awards evening was hosted at Taman Bhagawan, a private beachfront venue with traditional architecture, tropical gardens and beautiful event spaces.
Guests were encouraged to wear formal or traditional clothing, adding colour and personality to the celebration.
Our coverage included the venue, décor, guest arrivals, speeches, entertainment and award presentations. We also concentrated on the smaller moments: colleagues congratulating one another, emotional reactions and the celebrations around the tables.
These images often become some of the most valuable photographs from the entire trip.
Touring Bali in classic Volkswagen vehicles
One of the standout experiences was a full-day classic Volkswagen safari.
Delegates travelled through Bali in colourful vintage Volkswagen vehicles, turning the journey itself into one of the main attractions. Rather than simply travelling from one location to another, the group experienced the surroundings in an open and sociable way.
The convoy created excellent opportunities for both photography and video. We captured the vehicles travelling together, delegates interacting inside them and the changing scenery along the route.
Activities like this are particularly effective for corporate incentive groups because they encourage conversation and create shared memories.
A visit to Tanah Lot
The Volkswagen safari included a visit to Tanah Lot, one of Bali’s most recognisable coastal landmarks.
The temple’s position among the rocks and ocean provided a completely different visual setting from the resort, cultural park and gala venue.
Our approach at locations such as Tanah Lot is to balance photographs of the destination with images of the delegates experiencing it. Wide photographs establish the setting, while closer documentary images reveal the personal side of the journey.
This combination helps tour operators and corporate clients communicate both the beauty of the destination and the value of the experience.
Why Bali works for corporate incentive travel
Corporate incentive travel in Bali can be adapted to many different group sizes, budgets and interests.
A programme can combine:
- Resort relaxation and water-based activities
- Cultural landmarks and traditional performances
- Adventure experiences such as quad biking
- Scenic road journeys and classic vehicles
- Local food and cultural encounters
- Formal awards evenings at private venues
The variety also means that each day can have its own character. One day may be relaxed and informal, while the next could involve cultural exploration, adventure or a black-tie celebration.
For South African tour operators planning international incentive travel, this flexibility makes Bali a destination with broad appeal.
Photography and video for corporate incentive travel in Bali
Corporate incentive programmes move quickly. Activities may take place simultaneously, schedules can change and many important moments cannot be repeated.
Our ZaraZoo travel team is experienced in working within these conditions.
We understand how to move with a group, work alongside tour leaders and capture the required content without interfering with the guest experience. Our compact crew can cover both photography and video, providing broad coverage without adding an unnecessarily large production team to the travelling party.
We document the major itinerary moments, but we also watch for the unscripted interactions that give each trip its personality:
The excitement before an adventure activity.
The conversations during a shared meal.
The laughter inside a classic Volkswagen.
The reaction to receiving an award.
The friendships that develop as the programme unfolds.
These moments allow the final photographs and films to communicate far more than a list of activities.
Planning corporate incentive travel in Bali?
A successful corporate incentive trip should reward achievement, strengthen relationships and leave delegates with a shared experience they will remember long after returning home.
Bali provides the ideal setting for this, bringing together culture, adventure, relaxation and celebration within one varied destination.
For tour operators, MICE agencies and corporate travel planners, professional photography and video also create valuable content for future incentive launches, internal communications, executive presentations, social media and corporate marketing.
ZaraZoo has photographed corporate incentive programmes across more than 30 countries. We travel with both outbound and inbound groups, documenting each journey from the informal experiences through to the main awards celebration.
For this group, Bali provided colourful traditions, spectacular settings and memorable adventures—all the ingredients needed for a corporate incentive travel story worth capturing.
